Keimar, Inc.

Keimar, Inc. is a medical device company dedicated to providing continuous real-time measurements of blood gas parameters and cardiac output.  Keimar's arterial and venous MicroWire probes, designed for use in intensive care units, will facilitate early medical intervention when changes in cardiac and respiratory function occur.

Wristband Display Module and Probe

Keimar has developed the minimally-invasive MicroWire probe, incorporating multiple blood gas sensors embedded in a tiny, 1/2 mm diameter filament.  The MicroWire probe is inserted into an artery in the wrist and connected to an associated wristband module, which provides continuous display of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and pH, quickly responding to changes in these blood gas parameters.  With the addition of a second MicroWire probe placed in a vein, the Keimar device combines the arterial and venous blood gas measurements to provide a calculation of cardiac output.
